KARACHI – The price of gold in Pakistan has once again witnessed a decline, following a consistent downward trend, mirroring a significant reduction in the global market.
The international dip in gold prices has had a ripple effect on the local gold market in Pakistan, causing the precious metal’s value to drop by Rs500 on Saturday.
According to data from the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-carat gold plummeted by Rs500, settling at Rs212,000 per tola.
Furthermore, the price of 10-gram gold experienced a decline of Rs 428, resulting in a new price of Rs 181,755.
Concurrently, in the international market, gold prices decreased by $4, reaching $1,919 per ounce on the last working day of the week.
