Delhi: Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has shared his insights on the potential semi-finalists for the upcoming ICC Men’s ODI World Cup, and notably, he has omitted Pakistan from his list of favorites.
During a recent discussion on his YouTube channel, Harbhajan Singh unveiled his predictions for the teams likely to reach the highly anticipated World Cup semi-finals, scheduled to take place in India next month.
Harbhajan Singh identified four formidable teams that he believes have a strong shot at securing semi-final berths and contending for the coveted title.
These four teams are Australia, India, England, and New Zealand.
He expressed keen anticipation for a thrilling clash between India and Australia, suggesting that the victor of this encounter could emerge as a frontrunner for World Cup victory.
Harbhajan also underlined Australia’s robust potential to advance to the semi-finals.
In addressing the speculation surrounding Pakistan’s prospects of reaching the semi-finals, Harbhajan Singh opined, “In the 50-over format, they are just an average team. The Pakistan team excels in T20 cricket.”
As a result, he included New Zealand as his fourth pick for the semi-final contenders.
The ICC ODI World Cup is scheduled to take place in India from October 5 to November 19, featuring the participation of ten international teams.
