Nisar Khan, also known as ‘Charsi,’ the proprietor of the renowned Charsi Tikka restaurant in Peshawar’s Namakmandi area, has been arrested on charges of misconduct involving foreign tourists. The incident came to light as images related to the alleged wrongdoing circulated widely on social media, sparking public outrage.
Sources indicate that, upon discovering these troubling images, the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) promptly issued instructions for immediate legal action. Consequently, a case has been filed against Nisar Khan in Peshawar under section 294 of the Pakistan Penal Code, stemming from allegations of inappropriate conduct toward foreign tourists who were staying at a local hotel.
This is not the first instance where Nisar Khan has faced accusations of inappropriate behavior, particularly towards tourists, including those from abroad. Past discussions on social media have centered around his actions without consent.
In response to the incident, public anger has been evident on various social media platforms. Many Facebook users expressed their frustration, with some tagging the Capital City Police Officer to demand justice. One comment lamented that such behavior tarnished the reputation of Peshawar’s people, while another expressed gratitude to authorities for taking action and placing Nisar Khan in custody.
