The Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a statement indicating the likelihood of thunderstorms accompanied by rain in the upper regions of the province starting tomorrow and continuing until the 20th of this month. The PDMA spokesperson also noted that between the 17th and 19th of this month, there is a potential for the rivers and canals in various Punjab districts to experience rapid water flow.
The PDMA has taken proactive measures by alerting all district administrations and urging citizens to report emergencies to helpline 1129. Furthermore, the Meteorology Department predicts an increased chance of additional monsoon rains throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) starting from this upcoming Friday, September 15th.
