The Meteorological Office has forecast partly cloudy weather for most districts in the southeastern region of the country, including the provincial capital Karachi, on Wednesday.
During this cloudy weather, rain, strong winds, and thundershowers are anticipated in Karachi, Hyderabad, Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Mityari, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, and Jamshoro. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has noted the possibility of heavy rainfall in isolated areas of Thatta and Badin during this period.
According to the weather forecast service, Karachi’s minimum temperature today was recorded at 34°C, with the temperature expected to reach 37°C during the afternoon. The humidity in Karachi was registered at 78 percent, with winds blowing from the southwest and west at a speed of 11 km/hour.
Karachi’s air quality index was measured at 51, indicating poor air quality. Pollution levels have risen significantly, reaching unhealthy levels for sensitive groups. If you experience symptoms such as difficulty breathing or throat irritation, it is advisable to limit outdoor activities.
The low-pressure area that was present yesterday has weakened and is now located west of Rajasthan, expected to move southwestward in the next 24 hours. Additionally, a shallow westerly wave is likely to enter the upper parts of the country starting Thursday. As a result, rain, strong winds, and thundershowers are expected in lower Sindh, eastern Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, with heavy rainfall expected in isolated areas of lower Sindh during this period.
